God Has Humor

Ez Mony Method

On the first day, God created the dog and said, sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this I will give you a life span of twenty years. The dog said, “That’s a long time to be barking. How
about only ten years and I’ll give you back the other ten?” And God said that it was good.
On the second day, God created the monkey and said, “Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I’ll give you a twenty-year life span.”
The monkey said, “Monkey tricks for twenty years? That’s a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the dog did?”
And God again said that it was good.
On the third day, God created the cow and said, “You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer’s family. For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years.”
The cow said, “That’s kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. How about twenty and I’ll give back the other forty?”
And God agreed it was good.
On the fourth day, God created humans and said, “Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. For this, I’ll give you twenty years.”
But the human said, “Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?”
“Okay,” said God, “You asked for it.”
So that is why for our first twenty years, we eat, sleep, play and enjoy ourselves. For the next forty years, we slave in the sun to support our family. For the next ten years, we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren. And for the last ten years, we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.
Life has now been explained to you.
There is no need to thank me for this valuable information. I’m doing it as a public service. If you are looking for me I will be on the front porch.

How to Get Targeted MLM Leads Using Solo Ads

Paid advertising can be a great, and an efficient, way to get a large number of targeted MLM leads. There are many different paid advertising routes you can take, but one good one you may want to try is running solo ads.

If you are not familiar with what a solo ad is, here is basic definition for you: Publishers with databases (list of prospects) in specific niches agree in exchange for a certain amount of money to run your ad (via email) to their list. It is called a "solo ad" because your ad will be only ad in that email.

Because you are choosing publishers who are involved in specific niches -- specifically YOURS -- you can see how this type of advertisement would garner very targeted MLM leads. Before we talk about exactly how you go about using solo ads, however, let's talk first about why these are a good strategy for attracting targeted MLM leads.

The first advantage of using these ads is that they are fairly inexpensive. Running solo ads is typically a fairly inexpensive way to advertise. The bigger the size of the publisher's list, the more expensive the solo ad will be.

Even when they are "more expensive," though, solo ads are typically less expensive than many other types of paid advertising. The good thing about them being fairly inexpensive is that you can send out just one to each publisher's list to test and see whether it is a good place to advertise and get targeted MLM leads without breaking the bank.

The second big advantage of using solo ads is that they are a great way to leverage yourself. You are using someone else's asset that they have already worked to create (i.e., their list) for your own advantage.

So now that we've established that solo ads are a good way to attract targeted MLM leads, how exactly do you go about using them? Here are some key tips to using solo ads properly, and so that you will end up attracting targeted MLM leads:

1. Do Your Own Investigation: Before you choose to run a solo ad, investigate a publisher's list yourself. Subscribe to it as a prospect, and look at the content they send you to be sure it is a viable list for your advertisement. You will be able to get a sense of whether you can attract targeted MLM leads based on the content that the publisher sends to their list (or, at least, you will probably be able to exclude some lists before you spend a dime on running a solo ad to lists that will not garner you any targeted MLM leads).

2. Be Able To Track Your Results: Whenever you are going to run a solo ad, be sure you create a unique tracking code for your website. This will allow you to be able to tell exactly how many clicks etc you are getting from each publisher's list. It is great to just be "getting targeted MLM leads," but it is equally important to be able to track from where they are coming so you can decide which lists are worth the money you are spending on your ads.

3. Use A Data Capture Page: When you are running a solo ad, be sure that the link you put in your ad ALWAYS takes prospects to a data capture page. Your goal with these ads is to gather targeted MLM LEADS -- not make an immediate sale. So you want to be sure you take people to a forum on which they can input their information.

4. Test Your Results: Like any other type of advertising you might do, running solo ads will require you to do some testing. You might have to run forty different solo ads on forty different publisher's lists before you find a handful of ones that are worth repeating. The first thing you want to test is your results. When you are testing, you want to look for two things about each solo ad you run: (a) did the ad increase the total volume of traffic to your website, and (b) did that increased traffic volume increase your lead volume. These two pieces of information will tell you if you are getting targeted MLM leads from that publisher's database.

5. Test Your Ads: Once you have decided which publishers and lists are good ones and are getting you good and targeted MLM leads, you want to test out different ads to those lists. In other words, don't just write and send out the same ad over and over again just because you found a list from which you can get targeted MLM leads. You want to test out different copy in your ad to see which one gets you the BIGGEST increase in traffic to your website and the BIGGEST number of targeted MLM leads.

6. Repeat Them!: Finally, once you have tested and found which publisher's lists were good ones and which ads tested best, then you want to keep sending out ads to those lists. Send out an ad to those lists about once a month. Once a month is often enough, but is not over-sending. Discover What Your Upline Has Known And Has Been Doing All Along. Why Ezine Solo Ads Are So Effective

Solo ads are very effective email ads that generate targeted real time traffic to your website. There are many reasons why these types of ads are so effective. Here are the main 3:

1. Solo Ads are as targeted as you can get

You can find ezines (electronic magazines) for just about any topic, passion or subject. An easy search on your favorite search engine, or more specific research tools can be used to find targeted ezines in any niche.

Electronic magazines are websites or blogs that publish relevant and niche specific content in a variety of topics such as: personal growth, planting, cooking, travel, religion, politics or health and wellness to name just a few.

These sites ask their visitors to opt in so they can received additional content and tips via email. This creates a targeted subscriber base that you can advertise to. The publishers post advertising rates on their sites and you can then submit your relevant email ad to be sent out on your behalf to a portion or all of the database.

This type of advertising generates targeted traffic because your niche specific email is only received by people who CHOSE to receive emails from that publisher. Your chance of generating clicks are high and only depend on your email being compelling and relevant to that audience.

2. Solo Ezine Ads are Cheap!

Relative to post card marketing, pay-per-click and extensive search engine optimization, posting compelling and relevant ezine solo ads can generate cheap leads. You can find ezines that offer solo ads for as low as $20 - $49 per solo. I've posted ads that have generated dozens of actual OPT INS to my sites for $49.

3. Solo Email Ads Are Easy For New Marketers to use

If you're in a network marketing program or MLM, then ezine solo ads can be a great way to get your sales team advertising efficiently and effectively. As a leader, you can supply your team with a small collection sample ads that they can use and work with. A quick video tutorial can show them how to research and find their own "watering holes" that are relevant to your program and away they go!

You can also supply them with a list of popular and effective ad spots so the newest of the new can get up and running. This can help you quickly have a team of advertisers out there posting ads and generating traffic, which is the heart and soul of fully leveraging the benefits of network marketing or MLM.

There are many more powerfully effective benefits you can gain by learning how to implement ezine solo ad marketing to generate traffic. It's an effective way to get exposure and targeted eyeballs on your content means a potential of consistent flows of traffic to your website.

I love ezine solo ads! But you have to be very careful in how you post ads or all is lost and you can blow tons of money and time on worthless lists. Get more free training on how to really capitalize on ezine marketing at my free training site here: http://www.leverage-ur-postcard.com/

Solo Ads - 3 Ideas That Work to Create Solo Ads That Convert

If you want your solo ads to be successful then you must make sure to keep them real. In other words, your ad needs to be high quality in every possible way. In the following article we will be looking at 3 unique solo ad tips that you can use right away.

You first need to analyze the ezine you are targeting and the prices they charge for solo ads. If it is relatively expensive, this is often a good omen because it means that the ezine probably has a good history and the owner understands how valuable it is. Spending a bit of money in exchange for high quality traffic should always be a yes. Don't let yourself get pulled in by those low offers that promise millions will see your ad for only $5. You should stay as far away as you can from ezines offering their solo ads at a very low price point. Your money should only be spent on things that you know with certainty will offer you a good rate of responses.

You can also collect the contact information of your prospects and increase the effectiveness of your ads by offering them a free gift in your ad. You can sell your product by following up after you get their contact information. By driving your traffic to your opt-in page rather than your sales page, you will find that your conversion rates will increase dramatically. This allows you time to show your potential customers that your product is valuable and to convince them to buy it by following up with them.

Last, but no less important, is that you need to avoid pre-written ads. Each solo ad you publish needs to be fully original. If you are getting a copy of your solo ad from your affiliate manager, simply rewrite it or write one on your own. Since people don't really appreciate being shown the same ad repeatedly, these pre-written ads can turn off your audience faster than a light bulb. It's not just the text itself, but also the subject line that has to be different.

You need to set yourself apart from the crowd, not be lost in it.

Everything is important to creating high converting solo ads, from the formatting to the subject line, a fact we can see clearly from this article. You will get a much better ROI when you realize which ezines and which solo ads perform better. Until that time you will need to test out various ads and ezines to discover which are the most effective.

Three Solo Ads Secrets That REALLY Work

In this age of blogs, podcasts, Google AdWords and article syndication, you might by wondering why in the world an article about solo ads would be worth reading. But, solo ads are still incredibly powerful.

So much so that everyone is still using them. Have you taken a look at your email lately? Have you noticed all those emails from the top "experts" announcing this new product and that recommendation? Guess what... those are solo ads.

Maybe not like you're use to seeing... the hypey, do this now type of ad. Nonetheless, they are solo ads. And they still work.

A client of mine and I were talking the other day about his advertising campaign that we recently worked on and how amazed he is about the performance of the solo ads. "I have to admit, I really didn't want to waste the money on this type of advertising. But, when the results came in... well, can you write a few more?"

Solo ads are here to stay and I truly believe that there isn't anything available yet to replace them.

"Why are your ads so effective?"

That's what someone asked me the yesterday. Luckily, I've already been thinking about it and could immediately tell them my personal ad writing tips for successful solo ads.

Be Conversational With Your Solo Ad

I love the new direction that solo ads are taking. Actually, I've been writing ads this way for quite awhile now and it seems that it is really beginning to take off. Remember, the question at the beginning of this article about the emails you receive from the top "experts"? They don't really seem like ads do they?

I mean, we know they are, but it just isn't your regular "hyped up, buy this amazing product now" type of ad. It's more... well, conversational. It feels like the person sending the email (ad) to you is talking to you.

Powerful isn't it? I have never, and I say this with all honesty, bought anything from a short solo ad that "forced" me to visit a site. But, I do feel compelled to visit sites from ads where I feel like they really care that I visit this site.

And I know it's an ad!

Personal, conversational, relational. Write your ad like you're actually sitting across from the person or talking on the phone.

Target Your Ad To Fit Your Reader

So many times I see ads for products that I am not even remotely interested in (and I'm interested in a lot of things). I ask myself, why am I receiving this ad? Yes, I might subscribe to the ezine, but why would this person be advertising this product through this mailing list? It's a huge waste of money.

The most important principle of advertising is targeting your audience for the best possible results. So, it would only be logical to do the same thing with the actual ad itself.

Write the ad to fit your reader, not your product.

So many ads are written to tell about the product, what it can do, and how many special features it has that makes it worth the hundreds of dollars they're asking for it.

The thing I've been doing recently is placing a tremendous emphasis on narrowly focusing the ad to fit the reader. What do people in this niche need? What are they feeling right now? What will help them the most?

For example: Let's say you are selling an ebook about t-ball practice drills. In writing the ad I would focus on one particular audience... new coaches. I wouldn't even begin to try to satisfy all people. Just one narrow focus.

The ad would then take on a life of it's own. Instead of limiting your creativity, the sky is the limit. You could write from the emotion of a new, bewildered father who is stepping in to coach because no one would. Or, set up the ad like a personal letter from one "new" coach to another describing a great resource that really helped.

Focus your ad to fit the reader.

Solo Ads Work Best In The Third Person

This ties into the previous "secret".

I have found that the solo ads that work best are not the ones that are written for your own product. What I mean by this is when you write an ad for your own product, you shouldn't write the ad like you own the product. Write it in the third person point of view. As a recommendation.

The last couple of years I have been extensively testing this theory. I have an ebook that I wrote on how to write solo ads that I wrote several ads for. Actually about thirty. Like I said... testing.

Anyway, I tested out a lot of theories and writing styles and the consistently high click thrus and conversion rates came from the ads that were written in the third person. The ads that were like I was recommending my own ebook, instead of saying "buy my ebook", outperformed the other ads... most of the time by 50-75%.

If you're struggling with your current ads start using my personal secrets to write some new ones or rewrite your current ones.

6 Ways to Make Money With Solo Ads

It's Not Rocket Science But it's Not Easy

The first question that probably popped into your head when you saw the headline about making money with solo ads was, "Do these still work?" I can give you a definitive answer on that. Yes. Solo ads DO work.

Think about different kinds of emails you see in your inbox every day. Did someone offer you a solution for your business, personal life, or for your home via email today? Those are solo ads. At their best they can drive more traffic to websites and give network marketers the opportunity to make a sale.

1) Write Ads That Solve a Problem

This is a common mistake network marketers commit. Instead of writing the ad to capture the attention of their customer by solving a problem they constantly pitch their product and or business. What compels people to click to see more? It's probably not going to be a cool logo or the product itself. The clicks happen when your ad solves a problem the reader has. Ask yourself these questions to ensure you can make a buck with solo ads:

* What does my niche need?

* How might they be feeling today (consider relevant, current events)?

* What information can I give that will help them?

2) Include an Offer They Can't Refuse

Set a deadline for clicking on the ad; tell them what they'll receive in exchange for their prompt attention to something they've already decided they want.

3) Be Smart About Using Ezines

This tip goes back to my first point regarding the importance of tailoring your message for your market niche. If you choose to use ezines to feature your ad, pick one with content that will speak to your audience. If you're selling mystical, herbal remedies you might not want that placed in an ezine featuring the newest high-tech gadgets (not that techies don't like au natural products).

Same comments apply to reps who are promoting their business opportunity. Always run your ads in ezines that have a network marketing/home business focus. Other factors to consider:

* What is the ezine rate (marketers sometimes forget rates vary)?

* How big is the publisher's email list?

* How often are emails sent?

* What is the size of the ezine's market and how responsive is it?

* Will my ad truly be a solo ad or will it be semi solo

TIP: If the ezine's readers are responsive in the smaller market but unresponsive in the larger market, weigh the benefits and costs of using one over the other. As to including your marketing piece with other pieces it's up to you. However including yours as a semi solo ad could lessen the effectiveness of your message.

4. Write in a Conversational Style

The best advertising pieces read as though they're a conversation with a good friend or a loyal customer. If it's really good people will get halfway through before realizing what it is. And by the time they realize it's marketing, they won't mind because you've given them something useful. Statistics also demonstrate that solo ads written in the third person resonate more with readers than 'first person' ads ("MLM Guru says this is effective" vs "I think this is effective").

5) Maximize the Click

Once people click on your ad, make sure they go to a "squeeze page" (sounds cutthroat, I know) to make sure you have a way to get their contact information. Also make sure you have a tracking system in place to monitor how many clicks and leads you get from your solo advertisement. Finally, make sure you consistently monitor the style of writing and language you use for headlines so you can determine what works and what doesn't. Monitoring is KEY!

6) If it's Not Broke, Don't Fix it

The last tip on how to make a buck with solo ads is this: if you've found a great ad format that works stick with it. You can't get too much of the right thing. Just remember you can't know what works if you don't monitor the responses to your various solo ad campaigns.

Final Thoughts

Making money with individual ads isn't easy - and there is a ton of information out there on what works and what doesn't. But I hope these strategies make cents!

There are thousands of ezines which can make it very confusing for the newbie who is trying to find a tried and true way to Make Money With Solo Ads. Accessing a trusted review site can save you a lot of time and frustration.

Ezine Solo Ads - The Super Affiliate's Secret Tool

Ezine solo ads can be highly profitable and dead easy to do if you're promoting any affiliate product. It doesn't require as much analytical knowledge as pay-per-click or SEO, but you still have to apply the proper methods to generate a lucrative ROI from ezine solo ads.

How does it work? You simply pay a newsletter publisher to send your ezine solo ad to their mailing list.

The price depends on factors such as the number of subscribers, the quality of the leads (customer lists are much more responsive than normal subscribers), or the popularity of the ezine. Your ad is exclusive, and doesn't contain other advertising or messages unless you permit it.

Here are some great tips to maximize the profitability of ezine solo ads:

1) The subject line is the most important part. They won't read the rest of your solo ad if the subject line is not interesting enough to grab their attention and entice them to read further.

2) Write the most hypnotic and benefit-laden words in all caps, but don't overdo it. This will allow the reader to take more notice of the words in all caps. For example, you could say, "This BLOWOUT offer will end after 48 hours, so GRAB IT NOW if you want to take advantage of one of the best deals ever." If they're only skimming, they will at least see, "BLOWOUT...GRAB IT NOW."

3) Create a sense of urgency and scarcity. An example would be telling the readers that the offer is limited to the first 10 (or whatever number you decide) customers only, or up to a certain date or time.

4) Format the ad up to 60 characters only for a more convenient reading experience. You may use a free service like formatit.com.

5) Follow the short paragraph rule. Short paragraphs make it easier for the eyes of the reader and are easier to understand. Paragraph should be a maximum of 4 lines only.

6) Add the most convincing testimonials if they can add "power" to the solo ad.

7) Make your ezine solo ad short in scope, if possible. The longer the ad, the more prone it is to be caught by the email filters. Treat the solo ad as a teaser that directs the reader to visit the sales letter. However, a long solo ad is not a bad idea if it's necessary, as long as you pass it through a dependable spam filter.

8) Put a "PS" or two that contains the biggest benefit or strongest call to action.

9) Make sure the solo ad passes through a reliable spam filter. If the person sending the solo ad has a sophisticated autoresponder (like aweber), the ezine solo ad can be checked for any spam-triggering words before being broadcasted.

10) Advertise only in ezines or newsletters that are identical to the topic of the affiliate product you're promoting. Here are recommended sources where you can place your ezine solo ads or negotiate with ezine publishers:

Free Solo Ads - Stop Lying to Yourself!

A few days ago I got an inquiry from a potential customer who was asking me about the ezine ad space available in one of my newsletters. The final remark from that inquiry made me curious: the prospect pointed very clear that she was interested in any type of ezine ad space, but not in solo ads. You don't have to be an expert in ezine advertising to know that solo adverts are the best ezine ads, so I asked that lady what was the mystery behind her strange approach. When I read the answer I couldn't believe it: "There are a lot of places where my solo ad is published for free, so why should I pay for it?"

So I decided to write this article in order to help a lot of newbies who think the same.

Please forget for the moment what we are talking about here and think of YOUR assets. Pick some of them. Your TV, your car, your home, whatever you want. Now please respond quickly: will you give your assets for free to some strangers? Right, you won't give them unless they are so old that you don't need them anymore. Even in such case you won't give some of your assets for free, will you?

So ... why do you think that there are stupid people out there who will give YOU something of value for free? I have to disappoint you: what you think is free ... 1) is not free at all or 2) it has almost no value. That's how real life is, no matter whether you like it or not.

Let's analyze what I have just said.

Free solo ads that are not free at all. You probably ask yourself what I'm talking about. There are solo ads so called "free" that you earn the right to send only after you click, click, and click again on tens or hundreds of other people's links. Here is the point: if you don't value your time & your work, yes, they are free. When you work in order to get something, it doesn't mean that you get that "thing" for free. That's only misleading advertising. It's like a boss who tells you that if you work this week from 9 to 5 each day, on Friday evening you'll get a ... FREE PAYMENT. Huh?

Another type of "free" solo adverts are the advertisements sent via safelists.

One type of safelist membership is the paid one where you pay a monthly, yearly or one-time fee. If you pay, then are the ads free? Are you joking?

The other type of safelist membership is the free one. This indeed looks like you're sending free ads but let's see what a safelist is. Briefly, a safelist is a place joined by people who send ads one another. It's like a marketplace closed for customers, where the sellers are trying to sell one another their products. Did you see such place in real life? Why do you think that you didn't see? ... because it simply doesn't work. Well, as a matter of fact you may get some peanuts, but that's all. That is not a business model. You can call it whatever you want, but not business.

That's it, folks! If you thought like that lady that "free" solo ads is the way to go, then I suggest you to think twice before wasting your time. Once wasted, you'll never get it back.

To Your Success!

Tips For Solo Ads Advertisers - A Reader's View

Solo ads advertising is a great marketing tool for promoting a business or a product online or for building your own mailing list. The same like for any other marketing tool, one of the keys to a successful advertising campaign is to find out how the prospects think and what they are looking for, and then to meet their expectations.

The purpose of this article is to give you an idea on how a solo ads reader thinks and what he doesn't like to see. Of course that what follows is only my own view and you don't have to limit your research only at what one person likes or doesn't like.

Fact # 1 - The more solo adverts I receive daily, the less I read.

Tip # 1 - If you plan to use safelists, forget about it. If you plan to advertise in an ezine, subscribe to that ezine and see how many solo advertisements are sent daily to subscribers. If they are flooded, they are bored. You may not want to promote your business to such a market. Look for ezines that distribute maximum one solo ad per day.

Fact # 2 - My first name in the subject line doesn't make me open that email. The spammers did their marketing homework and I receive many spam emails that contain my first name in the subject line.

Tip # 2 - Forget about first names in email subject lines and use wisely that space. The subject line is very important and if it doesn't grab the reader's attention, your solo ads advertising campaign will be a failure. Recent email marketing reports issued by professional email marketing companies revealed that first names in subject lines are no longer an incentive for opening an email.

Fact # 3 - I don't trust what an advertiser recommends or what she/he guarantees if that advertisement is not signed. [Don't get me wrong: it doesn't mean that I trust any piece of text that is signed.]

Tip # 3 - At the bottom of your solo advertisements always insert your signature that includes a name (your name, a pen name, a business name).

Fact # 4 - Even if I like what you want to sell, if for whatever reason I don't have funds in my account then I won't buy your stuff. Or if I have funds but I'm not convinced that I really need what you sell, I still don't buy your stuff. And then I will forget about it.

Tip # 4 - Instead of trying to sell something, offer an incentive so that the reader to signup for your mailing list. Then you'll have the chance to send me more emails, on different days, and finally you may get me having money in my account and being in a buying mood.

Solo Ads - How to Test the Subject Lines

Solo ads are the most powerful ezine advertising tools, but any ezine advertiser or email marketer has to know that a poorly written subject line affects dramatically the result of an advertising campaign. Today's article shows you a simple method for testing solo ads subject lines, in order to avoid the unwanted and unpleasant failure of your email marketing campaign.

Step 1 - Read once again your sales letter and focus your attention on buyers' benefits. Then write 8-10 subject lines, none of them longer than 60-65 characters (including the empty spaces between the words).

Step 2 - Take a break! Forget about the product or service you plan to promote, forget about your next advertising campaign, forget about your goals, forget everything. Empty your mind of all your thoughts. Then take a look at the subject lines as if they are not yours. Consider these headlines written by a certain John Doe and always ask yourself, "So what?"

Step 3 - Simply delete two subject lines that you consider the worst ones. I know, they all are your babies, they are all fine in your opinion, but ... just do it! I told you to empty your mind and consider them as not being yours.

Step 4 - You still have 6-8 subject lines. Contact some of your friends and don't tell them anything about your plans. Just send them the subject lines and ask each friend to choose two of them. Don't tell them that they are headlines. Don't tell them what criteria to use in making their selection. Tell them not to ask any question but to choose two of the "expressions" you sent. Repeat the same test by posting the question in some online forums.

Step 5 - Based on the answers you received during the Step 4, make a "Top 2 Subject Lines".

Step 6 - Buy two very cheap solo ads. Free solo ads are even better. It's best to choose an ezine that is in the same niche like the product you plan to promote. Don't be bothered by the fact that the ezine or whatever it is doesn't have thousands of subscribers, but only make sure that both ads are sent to the same readers (don't buy one solo ad in one ezine and the second ad in another ezine). For these two ads, use the subject lines from Step 5, the same ad copy for both ads and two different tracking links (an ad tracker is a must for such test).

Step 7 - After the ads are published, wait 4-5 days and then analyze the number of clicks generated by each ad. The advertisement that got more clicks is the winner and its subject line is "The One". You've just finished the test.

To Your Email Marketing Success!

Three Profit Pulling Tips for Effective Solo Ads

Solo ads are one of the most powerful advertising tools you can use for quick and easy advertising.

Unfortunately the true power of using solo ads to advertise your website is falling well below what it could be. A lot of emphasis has been placed on the 'how to write a solo ad', but very little practical help on what to do to increase the effectiveness of solo ads.

While the writing of a solo ad is very important, there is still another mountain to climb.

Picture this...

Let's say you have just written the world's greatest solo ad. It has just been published to an email list of about 15,000 targeted readers. Your ad is so good that you receive over 6,000 unique visitors. Does that mean that the ad was effective? Does that mean that the job was well done?

At first glance it would seem that the ad was a smashing success. Most people would be ecstatic with this type of performance from an ad. But, let's look a little closer at the results.

Let's say out of those 6,000 visitors you made only 10 sales. Is that still a smashing success?

The Effectiveness of a Solo Ad is judged by the Most Wanted Response

Traffic is one thing. If that's all you ever wanted. But, what good is traffic is nothing happens with it. Solo ads are a tremendous vehicle for receiving quality, targeted traffic but they have to work together with what you want the traffic to do. This is called your Most Wanted Response (MWR). This is what you write your solo ad around.

To boost your solo ad's effectiveness keep in mind your MWR and you'll see an amazing increase in your profits.

In writing thousands of solo ads this is the formula I use in writing solo ads around the MWR.

What will get people to come back

For real solo ad power you have to realize that it costs more to advertise to the same person over and over again. So, when writing your ad with the MWR in mind, think of what you can offer to the visitor when they show up. One of the best things is an ezine, or some sort of mailing list where you can keep in touch with the person over and over again.

Another great tool to use is a multi part 'how to' course, or autoresponder series. By having something like this available on the page that the visitors will be coming to you are dramatically increasing the effectiveness of the solo ad.

When I am writing an ad for a client I always look at the site to see what it has to offer visitors when they get there. I never focus on the product. I always focus on what the site offers. People don't want to hear about another fantastic product they can't do without. But, they will always like hearing about some new information. Use that as your MWR.

Focus on one page

A lot of solo ads pretty much focus on the wrong things. Like I mentioned above, people do focus on the product which tends to decrease the overall effectiveness of the solo ad, but they also focus on the wrong page.

Think about what will appeal to your target visitor. Is it going to be the home page? Will it be the page where you have a free offer? Will it be a page where a previous customer gives a tremendous recommendation? Think about what page you want the visitor to go there and don't mention any other pages.

Some solo ads mention several pages in an attmept to cover the entire field. This only leads to confusion on the part of the reader. Have one page as the focus of the ad.

Don't forget about the reader

Sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes I have to tell a client that the way the current website is, no ad will be effective. I get the usual, "Well, that's your opinion!" only to be followed a few weeks later with, "What do I have to do to make it better?".

See, an ad all by itself is just an ad. It really doesn't do a lot. Yes, it sends people to your site, but if your site isn't geared to accept the reader of the ad... nothing happens.

Don't forget about the person reading your ad. They are real people. If your site is set up with absolutely no coherent information, is confusing, and leads people to nowhere, then your ad is just a waste of your money and other people's time.

Once someone leaves your ad and is ready to do something at your site, make it easy for them. The overall effectiveness of a solo ad is what happens when the person lands on your site. If you can understand this one simple tip you will see a major impact on your results.

Solo ads are very powerful advertising tools. Use them right and there is no limit to the amount of success you can achieve.

Some Solo Ads Scream "Delete Me"

If you want to improve the results of your solo ads advertising campaigns, then try to understand the reasons that make the readers click quickly on that button hated by all email marketers: Delete. The purpose of this article is to help you discover such reasons.

During the last hours I've checked the folder Trash of the email account where I receive the ezines I'm subscribed to. Below you will find the top subject lines that made me delete the solo ads without reading their ad copy. You will also find the reasons why I deleted these emails ...

Let's start ...

Wanna See A Brand New System That Makes $576,000+ per Year? - If the system is brand new, then that amount is just an ASSUMPTION. By the way, I don't know the rules & laws in other countries, but in USA this is misleading advertising and is not allowed.

This has NEVER failed! - There is nothing perfect and a system (or whatever it is) that never failed ... doesn't exist (or it's so new that no one really knows whether it works or not). I don't like liars ...

$0 to $15,000 per Month FAST, Even If You're Broke... - What bank do I have to rob?

How Scared Are You? - Not scared at all, sorry!

Did You Want Fries With That? - Huh? Was this supposed to make me curious? You didn't succeed. I only wondered what do you want too from me ...

... MILLIONAIRE in 12 months? - Suuure. I wonder why those "millionaires" always buy the cheapest ads? I guess they cannot afford more, or ... maybe not even they believe their hypes...

You can try this for $4.95 - Am I supposed to open this email just because you sell something cheap?

I want You in my team - You're not alone! But why should I care what do YOU want? No one cares about ME?

100% OFFLINE Marketing System! - Hey, I'm online and I don't want to move from here. Anyway, are you a kind of genius and you discovered something new related to traditional (offline) marketing?

There's A New Boss in Town! - Wow! Everyone runs away of their boss and do you expect me to read your sad news about a new boss?

Oh my Gosh... 6 Signups In One Day! - This sounds similar to the amazing and unique ... "Oh my Gosh... I just earned one dollar!" Wow! I guess it was sooo difficult ... Sorry, I really don't have time to read about your "amazing" achievement ...

UNEMPLOYED BUYS MILLION DOLLAR HOME. LEARN HOW - Why are you screaming at me? Anyway, I know the answer without opening your solo ad ... His rich uncle has just died and he's the sole heir, right?

Just in Case You Live Under a Rock... - Sorry, not my case.

Earn a $MILLION$ with 70 cents! - I guess you know that actually I found this solo ad in my spam folder ... Even my inoffensive spam filter got crazy when this solo ad arrived ...

* * *

Conclusions ... If you say nothing, if you lie, if you like hype, if you think that the reader is dumb, if you only care about you ...then you may have a big surprise: your solo ads will quickly land in the Trash folder. Why do you expect the reader to open your email when all your subject line does is to make the reader think, "What a liar!". Don't you like it? Then get serious ...

To Your Success!

When the Top Sponsor Ads Are Better Than the Solo Ads?

I can hear everybody laughing, "Wow! A joke about ezine advertising!" Actually it is not a joke and if you focus for a few minutes you'll understand the whole point. Despite the fact that usually the solo ads are getting much better results than the top sponsor ads, in some cases the practice contradicts the theory.

First of all, let's recap what actually are those two types of ezine ads. A solo ad is an advertisement that is sent alone to a mailing list, without any other piece of information that may grab the reader's attention. A top sponsor ad is an advert published at the top of a newsletter, together with many other pieces of information: articles, free resources, news, other ezine ads, and so on.

Looking at the definitions above, anyone can clearly see that the sponsor ads have a big disadvantage: the newsletter contains a lot of information that may distract the reader's attention. Then what's the secret behind the title of this article?

There is one fact that many advertisers overlook: the reader doesn't care who wrote your ad and how great success you already had with it. Your ad may be written by the best copywriter in the world, but if the reader decides for no matter what reason to delete it without reading it, that's it! It's not easy to understand the human mind, even if some copywriters believe they know the secret and talk about different magic principles like for example AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action).

Are you starting to understand where I'm coming from? The biggest problem with the solo ads is that you have to make the readers open the email. What if someone helps you and makes the readers open the email? Yes, there is someone who can help you: the publisher of that ezine. When the publisher is sending her or his ezine, most of the people will read it. The people didn't subscribe to read your solo ad, but to read what the publisher has to say.

You can use this in your advantage and buy the best ad space that is inside the newsletter: the advert that is placed at the top. The price of this type of advertisement is much lower and the publisher is your "vehicle" who makes the readers open the email.

A very good solo advert is usually much better than a very good top sponsor ad. But a "not so good top sponsor ad" may get you better results than a "not so good written solo advertisement". Are you sure that always your ads are great? Take care: it doesn't matter your opinion. The reader is the king, no matter whether the reader is expert or newbie, smart or dumb, educated or not.

To Your Success!

Contact Solo Ads and Email Marketing - Is Their Efficacy to Increase Traffic Arguable?

Solo Ad Emails are with no doubt a most wanted email marketing tool when it comes to internet promotion and increase traffic. But, there may be people out there that can put their success In Question. I must say these people at some point may have made some minimal mistake to be so disappointed with what I considered possibly if not the best, one of the best targeted internet marketing formats.

In order for a solo ad to be efficient and successful, many aspects have to be taken into account. First, you must do your research clearly. There are LOTS of websites that sell email solo ads, if they are free, affordable, or expensive, the web is saturated with advertisers providing you the best email solo ads plans in order to get you to purchase. The power is in your hands. Before you even choose where to get your ad from you must have selected your niche. You should avoid to buy random email solo ads to people who basically do not care to read what you have to sell. In addition to selecting targeted solo ads, you must try to obtain contact solo ads that are sent to contact email addresses. Why? Simple, people doing business online will frequently have more than one email address, one as their contact the other one to receive all of their bulk mail to which will usually, be unseen. By purchasing contact solo ads, you are assured the ad is being sent to the contact email of the person therefore assuring you that a real person will be getting the ad.

Once you have a niche and have researched different formats of email solo ads and companies then you need to write a GOOD, Compelling solo ad. I can not stress enough the importance of having a good ad copy, with good content that appeals to the potential client and makes them want to see more. Keep in mind, time is money, therefore your email solo ads must be concise, direct to the point. It is OK to elaborate on a catchy phrase but do not saturate. Also to your ad being short it must be sweet. You must appeal to the prospect. Make them identify with you, with a situation you went through, and how you resolved the problem with the help of the product, service or program you are offering them.

Be convincing but do not saturate. People hate false promises that your product/site or service will make them millionaires in days. Unless they win the lotto, that is impossible. Bill Gates did not become a rich in a year, nonetheless a few weeks. So keep it real!!! People value integrity and they will trust you more and will be more ready to see what you have to sell. After writing your ad copy, select a headline or subject line. Although a lot of internet marketers I have come across prefer to do this first, I write it at the end. Why? It is much easier to select a convincing and memorable subjectline from your ad content that can capture someones interest, than writing a great ad to a maybe not so good subjectline. Certainly everyone is different, but believe me, this way has never failed. Once you have written a winning solo ad and chosen the best catchy subjectline, buy the email ad campaign that best suits your budget and fulfills your requirements. Keep in mind, targeted, contact email addresses are a must if you want your solo ad to have success.

Finally, lastly and most importantly, do not lose hope. It has been proven, not just in internet advertising but advertising in general, that it takes people about seven views of an ad to make a purchase. I know it sounds tiresome and you can get impatient, but hard work and persistence are key factors in success. Just take some time, turn on the TV for a while and count how many times you see ads of different products. I am sure in 4 hours you will see ads for the same product many. With practice and time your email marketing results will not only get better but you will also increase traffic. Do not get discouraged, and good luck!

Solo Ads - Making Them Sell

OK, You want to know how Solo Ads sell. This is it, short and sweet.

Writing your Solo Ads, not rocket science... at all.

This article itself is a visual example of what good solo ads look like. It's a little longer that most solo ads are but hey, it's an illustration of one.

Bullet point your Solo Ads just like you see here.

Solo ads are all about skim reading. People cruse through them at warp speed so make a bullet point and back it up really quick.

Your Solo Ad titles, easy as one, two, three.

Solo ads with great titles will sell your product. Just look at the headings here in bold text. They're basically section titles. Your still reading so it's working. That's what you what your solo ads to make people do, read them! Then you'll sell big time.

Say it. Don't hold back, Say it!

Hey guess what? You can put your web site address in your solo ads more than once. Why not increase your chances of people visiting your site and opting in?

Call me to action baby!

When your solo ads have strong "calls to action" or combinations of persuasive words, that's what gets people to your web site. It's a good idea to put a call to action just before your web site address each time you include it in your solo ad.

Domain names, a slick Solo Ad selling trick.

Domain names can be cool things to persuade you readers with too. For example, you can buy a domain name that's part of the title in your solo add, ties into the text, your product and makes your ad look snappy. You can buy a domain name for each ad really cheep. Its worth the $3-$10 bucks because usually the more domain names you buy at once the less they cost.

Getting cheep Solo Ads and chopping down ad prices.

You can find really cool E-zine publishers who actually give you an office phone to call them, who answer it! They often offer you cut prices on your solo ads because you're probably going to be a repeat customer.

A warning about Solo Ads and SPAM.

Use a spam checker before you ever submit your solo ads or they may never see the light of day. In other words, get delivered. There are plenty of good quality free SPAM checkers. This is a friendly suggestion. Find, download and use one to analyze your ads before you submit them.

You can get people on the way out the door.

Put a P.S. message in your solo ads to keep your readers interest

down to the last sentence. In fact you can use a P.S. more that onece. Studies show the second P.S. gets the best response. So make that one a strong call to action.

Ok, this is the big secret.

This is how you seal the deal, get leads and make sales. Make your own web site that ties into the title, domain name and text in your solo ads. The more your solo ad's content and web site relate, the more leads your ads will generate,
the more sales you'll make.

That's it. That's the game. I hope this helps you.

Solo Ads are great but there are many ways to generate leads to learn about that are more targeted and don't cost a dime.

Contact Solo Ads Or Free Solo Ads - How Can Each Increase Traffic to Referral Program Or Site?

Using an ezine solo ad to promote your site is probably the most popular form of web marketing, if not the most popular. Solo Ad is probably the best form of email marketing, but it can be expensive if you do it on its own and to not combine marketing efforts with other options of marketing. Therefore, I recommend merging solo marketing, social networking and banner marketing.

I must say there is no precise way of proving, which is the exact combination that will deliver increase traffic to your referral program or web page, but the reality of the fact is that you must use solo email marketing with another feature.

For example, if you are new to web marketing and do not know where to begin, I recommend using solo ads and maybe join some social networks. Free solo ads, are hard to come by and some people even try to persuade you away from it, but it is a great start. Keep in mind the objective is getting the title of your site out there and start building client confidence.

In order for your solo email marketing to be successful you must have an idea of your target audience. If your purpose is reaching prospects interested in website advertisement, then you must send targeted solo ads, only to prospects who requested and are interested in what you have to sell. Therefore, it is imperative that you select a targeted ad, system that offers you the chance to send to a specific group of prospects and not to others who will just delete your ads. These targeted solo ads, can be rather expensive so make sure you know for sure that the list receiving the email ad is the one you purchased. You can buy solo ads, one at a time or buy them in bulk. It is pretty much up to you.

In addition to targeted ads, you must also be sure that they are contact email ads and are sent to the contact or personal email of the member which guarantees it will be seen. Some lists require their members to submit two emails, one for administration of the newsletter and admin information and updates (ads), the other one for all the list, and nothing guarantees the latter the emails are even checked by the member. So, be sure you purchase contact ads, sent specifically to the contact Solo, addresses.

4 Things To Consider When Purchasing Solo Ads!

Many marketers purchase solo ads from sellers and get SERIOUS results but many marketers are purchasing solo ads and getting traffic but not optimum traffic or results. I want to look at and consider the variables that make a solo ad purchase successful or not. Here are some things to consider when purchasing solo ads that are frequently overlooked by the unskilled or untrained marketer.

1.) Is The Solo Ad Purchase A REAL Solo Ad? - It is common practice in the world of buying and selling solo ads that the seller uses a tracking and redirect method in order to get "clicks". So if that seller was completing a solo ad with buyer 1 and "finished" THEIR clicks, he might possibly be redirecting THAT traffic to YOUR solo ad purchase. In other words, those people are blindly going to your offer and consequently, the conversion are at potential stake.

If the prospect KNOWS why the SHOULD click to your offer and the DECIDE to do so because they are interested, your conversions obviously rise. Whereas, if the prospect is taken there from some generic ad copy and isn't told what they are clicking for, you most likely will get "clicks" from people who have NO interest in your offer. THOSE are the ones you want to avoid paying for in my opinion.

To combat this, ask the seller if they redirect traffic for their solos. Ask them if they have a problem sending YOUR ad copy for your offer. If they resist you with these questions, you can rest assured that they most likely use this "redirect" method. If that is determined, ask them to simply NOT use this method for YOUR solo. If they refuse, move on.

2.) What kind of people are going to see your offer? - Many marketers don't ask simple questions about the "list" of subscribers that will see your solo ad. It is important to know what kind of list and interests the solo ad viewers have. You would obviously want to know how and where the subscribers of this list were created. Ask questions like "How did you build your list?". "How many purchasers are on your list?" "Would your list respond well to my offer in your opinion?" Simple questions like this can/will reveal if you want to move forward with the purchase. You MIGHT determine that your offer wouldn't convert well enough for the price of the solo.

3.) What time frame will the clicks be delivered? - This is something that is important to know. Why? Well, what if you were promoting something that is time sensitive? It is just always a good idea to establish a time frame in which you can expect your solo ad clicks to be delivered. Never assume anything when you're spending advertising money and expecting results. Depending on the amount of unique clicks you buy, you normally can expect your clicks to be delivered within 48 hours or sooner. However, if this isn't discussed ahead of time, it MIGHT effect the effectiveness of your offer.

My opinion is that QUALITY clicks (not redirected or blind clicks) is MUCH more important than quickness. I would rather have my clicks spread out over time than to get redirected clicks quickly. Targeted prospects are what you're after here so keep that in mind. Quickness would only truly be relevant for a time sensitive offer of some kind.

4.) Is your sales funnel set up properly? - Many marketers are not utilizing a proper sales funnel when building their list of subscribers and they are leaving money on the table. It only makes sense that if/when you know what someone signs up for, you can EASILY market to them and get converting sales. In other words, if you have someone that opted in to get a free report on writing quality articles, why not route them to an exclusive offer to a product that can assist them in this even more? These kinds of offers convert well when done properly.

For me personally, I have a series of 3 offers upon anyone signing up for any offer of mine. They all convert very well, as they are targeted exactly to what they sign up for. My offers are clear and precise so that although the new subscriber is redirected to offers, they are told at the top of each page exactly what to expect. My sales funnel goes like this...

1.) They sign up for my offer. I redirect them to an exclusive offer that they will NEVER see that is directly related to the product they signed up for. They can take or leave the offer. This also triggers my confirmation email to their inbox so the directions at the top of this offer instruct them that they have successfully signed up for xxx product and a confirmation email was delivered to their inbox. They MUST confirm their subscription to get their gift and they are explained that here as well. Then I simply ask them to have a look at this one time offer before they go.

2.) When they confirm their subscription, I direct them another exclusive offer that is related to the product they signed up for as well. Different offer but targeted offer in relation to their interest. They can take or leave the offer of course and they are instructed at the top of the page that they have successfully signed up and an email was delivered to them with the information they need to retrieve the free product they signed up for. So confirming also triggered their first follow up message that includes their download information.

3.) When they get their first follow up message, I thank them for signing up and so on of course. I also explain to them that I market to my list regularly and that I expect them to open my emails, read them, and sometimes make purchases from me. I ask them to simply unsubscribe after getting their gift if they no intention of doing any of these things. This weeds out the "freebie" seekers and explains why I have nearly 6000 buyers on my list. The provide them a download link for their free gift but THIS link also takes them to yet another targeted offer in relation to the gift they signed up for. They can take or leave the offer but grab their gift at the bottom of the page and they are instructed of this at the top of the page as to not mislead or confuse them.

So as you can see, if your sales funnel is set up properly and you ask the right questions before purchasing a solo ad, it is NOT uncommon that you make most of (if not all) your investment back from your sales funnel AND you gain many new targeted subscribers. This is one of THE most effective advertising you can possibly do online! No question about it. Good luck with your endeavors.

Characteristics of Solo Ads That Pull

Advertising is very important in the business world today. That fact cannot be denied. People today see advertisements everywhere. Because of the proliferation of advertisements, it has become necessary that companies make advertisements that are effective. This includes solo ads that pull people towards the business. What are the various characteristics of solo ads that pull?

1) Clear - Solo ads that pull should be clear in what they are advertising. It should tell the people exactly what business to support. Solo ads that pull are always clear enough to achieve a certain objective and that is to introduce a person to the business. Solo ads that pull should not pull on the wrong direction. Even if the message is delivered through a diversion of topics, the final message should always be clear.

2) Concise - The solo ad that pulls is always concise in its delivery of the message. It should not bore the observer with minute details that have nothing to do whatsoever with what's being advertised. It should immediately come out and be brief with delivering its message. Have you ever observed that effective television commercials only actually last for a few seconds? Have you also noticed the fact that the most effective print advertisements only take a few words to deliver the point? Conciseness is the key to pulling people.

3) Memorable - The main object of a solo ad is to introduce the business to the mind of the person. Solo ads that pull always make use of a mnemonic device. This is a certain method used in order to keep a product within the memory of a person.

Some make use of jingles, others use color associations and various other techniques in order to achieve the effect of keeping a business in the mind of a person. This is the reason why companies make use of mascots. People today immediately associate the red-headed clown with McDonald's. A solo ad that pulls should make use of a method that allows people to retain the business within their heads.

This is the reason why many television advertisements always make use of a certain product's name a number of times. The common law of building a solo ad that pulls is to mention the product no less than five times. It is also essential that the product or business being advertised should be mentioned in the first part of the advertisement and the last part. This helps people retain it in their memories.

4) Eye-catching - This is the most essential quality of a solo ad that pulls. It introduces all of the other qualities of the solo ad that pulls. It is what actually does the pulling.

What does it pull? It pulls the attention of the observer to take a closer look at the ad. Some companies do this by appealing to the natural instincts of man. This can be seen through the use of sex in various ads today. People attempt to shock people into taking a closer look at their advertisements. A solo ad that pulls can use any means necessary to grab the attention of the observers. Then the ad can work its magic.

These are just some of the observable characteristics of solo ads that pull. In order to learn more, you should try to read marketing books and research on the internet.
